PURPOSE:To make it possible to grasp the character line or character information in a memory means easily at a glance, in a small document printer, by performing printing by selecting the whole of a character line or sentence information or a part thereof. CONSTITUTION:If a MEMORY key is pushed when the registration of a character line or a key is finished, a title name is registered in sentence memory 54 in corresponding relation to the character line or a sentence. In calling the character line or the sentence from the memory 54, a RETURN key is pushed to display a character line consisting of, for example, 20 characters from the forefront by a display device 94 while the shift, the elimination, the insert and the erasion of the cursor position in a word unit are performed by key operation and the whole or only a part of the character line or the sentence is printed on paper from memory according to the selected information wherein the amount of the character line or the sentence is selected. By this method, the stored character line or sentence can be easily grasped at a glance and high function can be achieved by easy key operation.
