PURPOSE:To improve circuit using efficiency by preventing the lack of receiving data and the generation of a gap between transmitting data and executing both transmitting/receiving operation and editing operation in parallel. CONSTITUTION:Transmitting data D1-Dn from a computer to a terminal are written in a receiving buffer 11. Every receiving of data having previously fixed data length, a receiving operation part 8 generates an receiving interruption 10 and reads out divided data several times to execute edition 13. Every completion of editing, each editing part sends the edited result to a picture buffer 61 of terminal equipment. On the other hand, input data from a keyboard are transferred to a terminal control device through the buffer 61 and applied to a transmission editing part 14. The transmission editing part 14 sends a transmission command 17 at the time when the editing is completed up to the previously fixed data length. Every completion of the editing of the divided data length, the transmission editing part 14 writes the edited result in a transmission buffer 16 and the data D1-Dn are successively sent to a communication control part by a direct memory reading part 18 to execute transmission operation 19.
