PURPOSE:To obtain a printing apparatus simple in a structure and effectively perform multi-color printing, by intermittently applying to a type belt provided under tension between at least a pair of rotary wheels provided with cams for moving an ink roller. CONSTITUTION:The types 3a, 3b, 3c of a type belt 3 are a part of types in a type line for red printing and the types 3d, 3e, 3f thereof are a part of types in a type line for black printing. When a belt pulley 1 is rotated to allow the types 3d, 3e, 3f for black printing to oppose to the red ink roller 11, a cam 1 brings the red ink roller 11 into contact with a cover 11a to push up the same to the position X shown by a one-dot broken line and, therefore, red ink is not applied to the types. When the types 3a, 3b, 3c approach the ink roller 11, the cam 1a can not push up the red ink roller 11 and, therefore, the types are coated with the red ink. |
