PURPOSE:To eliminate the effect of the floating capacity of a resistance to an oscillation frequency and to attain the use of a high resistance value, by providing a pair of current control elements to the charge/discharge path of a capacitor, connecting a resistance to a power supply via said current control elements and controlling the currents of these elements by the voltage at both terminals of the resistance. CONSTITUTION:With this oscillation circuit, the oscillation frequency is decided by the intervals between charge/discharge currents i1 and i2 and input threshold values Vt1 and Vt2 of inverters N1 and N2 or the variation width Vw of the terminal voltage Vc of a capacitor C. Therefore the oscillation frequency can be set by operating the value of a resistance R which decides the currents i1 and i2. In this case, the currents i1 and i2 are not flowed directly to the resistance R and therefore the oscillation frequency is not affected although the floating capacity parasitizes the resistance R. As a result, a stable state of oscillation is secured although the R is set at a high level with reduction of the currents i1 and i2. Then the power consumption can be reduced by reducing th currents i1 and i2, respectively. |
