PURPOSE:To establish the magnetic recording substance small in output variation and improved in the reproduced output, by buff polishing of the surface of magnetic recording metal thin film vapor deposition with tilt injection on the base by means of the tilt vapor deposition method. CONSTITUTION:On the polyester tape about 25mu thick, the magnetic film with tilt vapor deposition is formed with the tilt vapor deposition method. Next, the thin film surface of the deposited metal is reciprocally polished with buff in about 5-6 times lengthwise the tape. The work is simpler by reciprocating the tape between the drive roll and the winding roll and touching the buff along the running surface and to prevent oxidation of magnetic metal particles in the buff work, the tape is passed through alcohol liquid and it is preferred to perform buff polishing in alcohol liquid. |
