PURPOSE:To ensure normally a secure braking effect with a simple construction by forming a controlling lever braking device for a marine engine of two braking plates, a spacer, a cam plate, etc. CONSTITUTION:A control lever 1 is secured fixedly to an end of a drive shaft 3 journaled by a casing 2 of a marine engine controlling device, and a cam sliding pin 4 planted eccentrically to the axis in the other end of the drive shaft 3. The pin 4 engages a cam 5a of a cam plate 5 slidably contacting the other end of said shaft 3, and a throttle lever 6 connected to a control cable 16 engages the cam plate 5 at a proper position. The cam plate 5 is provided connectively with a first braking plate 7. A braking pin extends through a slot 8 in said braking plate 7 and a spacer 11 is incorporated between the first braking plate 7 and a second braking plate 10 to form a gap 17. A sufficient slide resistance can be provided in a position of the pivoted lever 1 by friction between the first and second braking plates and thickening a spacer collar 12a. |
