PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform yellow-orange picture image having a stable color density for a long time by incorporating a specified compd. and alpha-diketone in the compsn. CONSTITUTION:[Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-(4-phosphonoylphenyl)]methane (BHPM) expressed by the formula (wherein R1<1> is 1-18C alkyl, 2-18C alkenyl, aryl, or aralkyl; R2<2> and R3<3> are 1-18C alkyl, 2-18C alkenyl, aryl, or aralkyl), which develops color by the irradiation with the light having specified wavelength L1, is incorporated together with alpha-diketone into the compsn. The compds. are used together with a binder and a solvent for coating a base material. An image is formed by irradiating the coated film with the light having, for example, 200- 350mmu wavelength through a pattern. When further the image is irradiated with the light having a wavelength L2, BHPM doesnot develops color due to the effect of alpha-diketone for inhibiting color development. Thus, an image having a stable background is obtd. If the coated film is first irradiated with the light having the wavelength L2 through a pattern, BHPM is inactivated to form a latent image, then the image develops color by the irradiation with the light having the wavelength L1. By this way, both negative and positive picture images are obtainable and the stability of the obtd. picture images is superior. |
