PURPOSE:To improve transmission force at the time of driving by a belt, prevent noise and improve durability, by a method wherein a reinforcement material meeting at right angles with the longitudinal direction of a V-shaped rib is laid partially on the V-shaped rib and made to expose on the side of the rib. CONSTITUTION:A flat belt is formed by a method wherein tension bodies 1 made of a low elongation and high strength rope are laid within a top and bottom sticked rubber layers 2, 3. One or a plurality of layers of canvas 4 with rubber is sticked bias above the top sticked layer 2 in a laminated state. A reinforcement layer 7 made of organic fiber or nitroganic fiber meeting at right angles with the longitudinal direction of the belt is being laid in a rubber layer 5 of a V-shaped rib, in which a short fiber group 6 is laid, and exposed on the side of the rib. Wear resistance, therefore, of the surface of the rib is favorable, superior in its transmission force and the noise in belt driving can be prevented. |
