APPARATUS FOR CONTROLING BUTTON WITHIN VEHICLE AND METHOD THEREOF

An apparatus for controlling buttons in a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to customize button functions based on preference of a user by receiving a button information table through a Telematics terminal and setting new functions of the buttons based on the button information table. A method for controlling buttons in a vehicle comprises the steps of: receiving a button information table of the vehicle through a Telematics terminal(S10); setting functions of the buttons in the vehicle based on the button information table(S20); and carrying out the functions of the buttons corresponding to the selected buttons when selecting the buttons in accordance with the function of the buttons(S30). The button information table includes button lists, button functions, user information, and vehicle information.
