PURPOSE:To provide a surface treating agent which provides a degreasing and descaling effect in a short time by the touch of an applicating operation and hardly changes in the lapse of time for a long period of time by consisting the same of a sulfamic acid, methyl alcohol, surface active agent and water. CONSTITUTION:This surface treating agent consists of a sulfamic acid, methyl alcohol, surface active agent and water, is added, is necessary, with a hydrofluoric acid and acetone and provides a degreasing and descaling effect by the touch of an applicating operation. Said agent exhibits an excellent effect for degreasing and descaling a printed circuit board in particular by dipping for about 30sec and hardly melts the copper of the circuit board. Since the surface treating agent contains a surface active agent to decrease surface tension, the agent provides the effect by penetrating thoroughly into the stacked circuit boards. The treating agent hardly changes in the lapse of time of about two years. The above-described hydrofluoric acid and acetone are added to the treating agent to adjust the strength thereof when there are much of stains and rust difficult to remove.
