PURPOSE:To reliably prevent the operation stoppage of a power plant due to the stoppage of cooling water and improve the reliability of the plant by interlocking a valve via a controller so as to keep it in a closed state during a normal operation. CONSTITUTION:During a normal operation of a power plant with a cooling water pump 27 in operation, even if an operator operates a remote switch 39 to set it to the break side by mistake, a cooling water pump stop signal is not inputted to AND circuits 40, 41, thus no valve open signal is outputted, and siphon break valves 31, 36 are kept in a closed state. Accordingly, the siphon break valves 31, 36 are completely prevented from being opened during the normal operation. Therefore, such accidents as the inundation due to the blowout of cooling water on the ground and the stoppage of cooling water due to the negative pressure in a discharge pipe 33 by opening the siphon break valve 36 on the discharge side can be reliably prevented. |
