PURPOSE:To obtain a high mounting strength with a shorter shaft by fitting a speedometer driving gear securely into the outside of a lock nut screwed with a threaded section of a main shaft. CONSTITUTION:A speedometer driving gear 13 with a shaft hole 15 hexagonal in the shape equal to the outline of a lock nut 12 is fitted into the outside of the lock nut 12 screwed with a threaded part 6 of a main shaft 1 and the position control thereof is down by inserting a stopper ring 8 thereinto. So, as the lock nut 12 and the speedometer driving gear 13 are mounted to the same part of the main shaft 1, the mounting part of the speedometer driving gear 13 can be reduced in the shaft length. The speedometer driving gear 13 can be fastened on the main shaft 1 with a sufficient strength only by regulating the position thereof axially with the insertion of the stopper ring 8 since it is fitted into the outside of the lock nut 6 screwed with the main shaft 1 with the hexagonal shaft hole 15 thereby ensuring a sufficiently high torque transmission strength. |
