PURPOSE:To prevent each door from being an obstacle for waterway when a trapezoidal falling dam falls down by a method in which plural doors constituting the falling dam of the same shape as the cross section of the waterway, e.g., river, etc., can fall down in line with the inside face of the waterway when being fallen down. CONSTITUTION:In a trapezoidal falling dam B to be constructed on a river A consisting of flat bottom bed 1 and sloped side beds 2, sloped doors 3 of right- triangled steels, erected slightly slantly toward the downstream direction on the sloped side beds 2, and a rectangular center door 4 erected slantly on the bottom bed 1 are provided. Also, auxiliary doors 5 fixed to a nearly equilateral triangled rod 18 to close the space between both dorrs 3 and 4 when the dam falls down are provided. The falling dam 8 is provided with a system in which when falling the dam, the doors 3-5 are fallen down in the state of imagined line B' through rotary shafts 7 and 8 when an oil-pressure cylinder 20 is contracted to release the water dammed. |
