<p>PURPOSE:To retrieve a large scale of information in a short time by incorporating such a function that detects the presence or absence of the data on the same bit pattern as that given from outside and then delivers the result of this detection. CONSTITUTION:A comparison pattern register is provided within a memory 1 to hold temporarily a bit pattern given from outside. The data read out of the memory array 1 with correspondence to an address is compared with a comparison pattern 7, and this coincidence or discordance is detected by a comparator 8. Then the comparator 8 delivers a proper signal. Thus it is possible to discriminate whether the data on the same bit pattern exists inside the memory 1 without reading out the data out of the memory 1 each time nor detecting the coincidence with the comparison bit pattern. As a result, it is possible to decide the coincidence with the data, the retrieval of a large scale of information, etc. in a short time.</p> |
