<p>PURPOSE:To prevent two papers from being simultaneously fed and as well to simplify the loading and unloading of a recording paper cassette to and from a paper feed device for an electronic copying machine, by securing, to the front end of the bottom plate of the cassette, a flexible reed piece in a cantilever-like manner so that its front end may abuts, obliquely against the peripheral surface of a paper feed roller. CONSTITUTION:A flexible reed piece 27 is secured to the front end of the bottom plate 25 of a recording paper cassette B in a cantilever-like manner so that, when the bottom plate 25 is sprung up toward a paper feed roller 9 by means of a lead-up lever 26, the front end 27a of the reed piece obliquely abuts against the peripheral surface 9a of the paper feed roller 9. Accordingly, since recording papers (a) are slightly shifted from each other between the reed piece 27 and the roller 9 due to the rotation of the roller 9 in the direction indicated by the arrow, the separation of the papers from each other may be promoted and as well the overlapped feed of the papers may be prevented. When the leap-up lever 26 is lowered, the reed piece 27 together with the bottom plate 25 lowers while its front end 27a slides on the peripheral surface of the roller 9. Accordingly, papers (a) which project from the cassette B returns into the latter. Accordingly, the replacement of cassettes may be simplified.</p> |
