<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate and accelerate the trial manufacture of a door, by measuring the fitted position of a glass guide with a gauge whose shape is defined by elevated door glass and the glass guide, to modify the dimensions of a guide fitting seat. CONSTITUTION:The main part of a gauge 2 comprises an upper half portion 2a whose shape is defined by that of the upper half section of door glass 5 located at its elevation end and a lower half portion 2b whose shape is defined by that of a glass guide fitted on a door 7. The fitted positions 8, 9, 22, 23 of the glass guide on the door 7 are set by gauge 2. A reference gap is set between the gauge 2 and the flange 11 of a bolt 3. The lower half portion 2b is inserted into a housing opening 17. The bolt 3 is secured on a fitting seat 18. When the top of the upper half portion 2a is in a position shown by chain lines in the drawing, the bolt 3 is loosened to displace the bottom of the lower half portion 2b outwards and adjust the top of the upper half portion 2a to a prescribed position (gap A). On the basis of the difference between the adjusted gap and the reference gap, the dimensions of dies are modified to correct the fitting seat 18.</p> |
