The subject of the invention is a measurement and display device which can be mounted on a bicycle, intended to measure and display the power developed and/or the work done by the cyclist, this apparatus comprising a unit 34 for measuring the speed of motion, a unit 36 for measuring the relative wind speed, a unit 38 for measuring the gradient, a memory 42 containing constants, an input unit 30, an analysis circuit 40 and a digital and/or analogue display unit 32. The measurement and display apparatus 20 can easily be mounted on a bicycle without requiring significant modifications to the construction of the bicycle. <IMAGE>
