This invention is a device for preventing crosstalk between telephone apparatuses or auxiliary equipment connected to the same subscriber line via, among other things, a flat cable.The flat cable exhibits a considerable capacitive imbalance between individual conductors. The crosstalk streams in the conductors reach so high a value when longer cables are used that a conversation on a main apparatus (H) can be overheard in a side apparatus (S) or auxiliary equipment.The problem is solved in the invention by connecting an adapted capacitor (C'3) between conductors LaIN and LaOUT in the flat cable so that the capacitive imbalance is minimised.
