A fastening device (11) for retaining a climbing skin (3) on the tip of a hiking ski provided with a tying bore (2) consists of a Z-shaped hook, whose one limb (12) is constructed as a plate to be attached to the climbing skin (3) and whose other limb (13), as well as the central web (14) connecting said limbs, is constructed as a bar which is to be introduced into the tying bore (2), is offset in its width relative to the plate, and is supported on the ski (1). By this design of the fastening device (11), it is possible to attach a climbing skin (3) to a hiking ski (1) reliably and in a short time without there being parts which project laterally over said ski and which hinder climbing or can be damaged. <IMAGE>
