PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of cleaning the interior of a medium pressure turbine rotor by providing labyrinth packing on the inner peripheral wall of a nozzle box in a steam turbine with opposed flows of high and medium pressure. CONSTITUTION:A labyrinth packing 20 is provided on the inner peripheral wall of a nozzle box 13 of a steam turbine with a high pressure turbine 1 and a medium pressure turbine 2 axially opposed to each other through a medium gland part 4 in an outer casing 3. Steam leaking from an entrance part of the high pressure first stage rotor blade 7a can be prevented, by means of said packing 20, from flowing to the medium pressure turbine 2 side as cooling steam, and the temperature of the cleaning steam can be held low enough. |
