PURPOSE:To observe the operation of software to be tested corresponding to the input of a simulated output by generating a signal to be inputted into a computer system by simulation and inputting the simulated output into a corresponding interface. CONSTITUTION:A signal to be inputted into a computer system is generated by simulation and the simulated output is inputted into a corresponding interface. For example, signals 2, 4, and 7 to be inputted into interfaces 9, 10, and 11 of the computer system 8 are simulated and signals 2a, 4a, and 7a are generated in the computer system 8. Then the simulated outputs 2a, 4a, and 7a are read out from each interface by a timer of information corresponding to a previously scheduled phenomenon and inputted into corresponding interfaces through folded signal cables. The computer system 8 operates as if actual information 2, 4, and 7 are inputted by software 12 to be tested against the simulated outputs 2a, 4a, and 7a inputted into the interfaces 9, 10, and 11. Therefore, the operation of the computer system 8 at the time of on-line operation can be simulated. |
