<p>In a lockable bevel gear differential for motor vehicles, in which for locking purposes one of the axle shaft bevel gears can be coupled to the differential case and the gear shift sleeve is arranged on a neck of the differential case enclosing the axle shaft, the gear shift sleeve (7) designed as a dog sleeve known per se is displaceably supported on the neck of the differential case (1) and the claws (8) are guided through axially parallel slots (9) of the differential case (1) and engage, as known per se, in recesses (10, 10a) on the rear side of the relevant axle bevel gear (4) or of a locking body (11) provided on its rear side and rotationally fixed to the axle shaft (5). The arrangement of the single, securely guided dog sleeve ensures a considerable reduction of the manufacturing cost, as well as simplification of assembly. The play between claws and recesses can be chosen large in a tangential direction, thereby favourably influencing the ease of gear changing. <IMAGE></p> |
