The invention enables a seabathing beach to be obtained on ships - especially for holiday operation - by letting down beach bases. In addition, by means of the invention, the ship can be put aground - in accordance with the sea depth - so that the risk of seasickness for the holiday-makers is removed, because the ship, being stationary, is of course not affected by the swell. To improve the manoeuvrability of a large ship, suction passages which allow the ship to plane on a water channel are allocated to the propellers.
