PURPOSE:To decrease the number of lead wires and to remove a reflecting film to simplify the manufacture of a titled detector by piling up two pyroelectric body sheets polarized to single directions so that respective polarized directions are opposite to each other. CONSTITUTION:The first and second pyroelectric body sheets 23, 24 having the pyroelectric effects polarized to the single directions A, B are provided, and the polarized directions A, B are made opposite to each other. Said sheets are adhered while piling up them in order on a metallic supporting base 31 by conductive adhesives 29, 30. In detecting the temp. of the part to be detected, the infrared ray interrupted by a chopper is transmitted through the first surface electrode 25 and made incident only to the sheet 23. Thereby, the sheet 23 generates the charge in accordance with the temp. of the part to be detected, and the temp. signal is outputted from a signal terminal 16. On the other hand, the charges generated at the sheets 23, 24 are mutually canceled with respect to the environmental change, noises varying with the circumferential temp. are not generated, and the reliability of the infrared detector is extremely high. In such a way, the infrared ray is not made incident to the sheet 24 in the presence of the sheet 23, and the reflecting film is made unnecessary. |
