PURPOSE:To produce a rubbery ethylene copolymer having sharp composition distribution and high MW, by copolymerizing ethylene with a 3C or higher alpha- olefin in the presence of a specified catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst is prepared from a highly active titanium catalyst component containing Mg, Ti, a halogen and an electron donor, an organoaluminum compound catalyst component (e.g., triethylaluminum), and an Si-O-C bond- containing organosilicon compound catalyst component (e.g., methyltrimethoxysilane) or a sterically hindered amine catalyst component (e.g., N,N,N',N'-tetramethylmethylenediamine). Ethylene is copolymerized with a 3C or higher alpha-olefin (e.g., propylene) in the presence of the above catalyst to produce a rubbery ethylene copolymer of an ethylene content of 15-90mol%. |
