In order to cover an opening 2 in a tiled wall 1, a plate 4 is provided which is covered with tiles 5 and on which commercially available spring-loaded catches 8 are fastened. Each of these spring-loaded catches possesses a roller 9 which is mounted on arms 10 which are to be capable of inwards displacement against the force of a spring. The respective first legs 12 of sheet-metal strips 14 which have been bent at an angle are fastened on the tiled wall 1 and the respective other legs of said sheet-metal strips project into the opening 2 and are configured as a groove 13. If the covering is introduced into the opening 2, the arms 10, having the roller 9 in each case, spring back and finally pass into the respective groove 13. The covering is thus held in the opening 2. <IMAGE>
