Auxiliary device for stereo microscopes

The auxiliary device consists of an adaptor (4) inserted between the microscope body (1) and the view tube (2), and a receptacle (19) for a macro-objective (18), which can be exchanged for the principal objective (15) of the stereo microscope. The macro-objective (18) is mounted in the receptacle (19), centrally in front of one of the two stereoscopic viewing channels (A, B). Located in the adaptor (4) is a beam splitter (17) for splitting the image projected from the object through the macro-objective (18) onto the two eyepieces (3a, 3b) of the stereo microscope. This auxiliary device can be used to convert a conventional stereo microscope into a macroscope.
