<p>New automatic control device for a cylinder mill. The quality of product supplied to the cylinder mill which is subjected to continued momentaneous fluctuations is determined by a mechanical probe (74). A corresponding signal actuates directly a pneumatic valve (80) and the motor pressure controls the instantaneous power provided to the grinding cylinders. The pneumatic valve (80) has what is called a zero passage and forms, together with the servo-mechanisms and the device for displacing the elements of the cylinder mill which are power-dependent, what is called a tracking servo-control. Owing to the motor pressure of the pneumatic valve (80), the grinding cylinders may also be simultaneously engaged and disengaged. </p> |
