COPYING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To shorten the conveying path for copying paper and to prevent the heating up of a copying device by discharging a copying material through a discharging port provided with a lower wall part existing lower than a transfer part for the copying material. CONSTITUTION:Copying paper housed in a paper feed box 30 is delivered by a paper feed roller 31 toward a timing roller 32. The timing at which the copying paper is fed to a roller 9 for press contact is controlled here. The copying paper P delivered from the roller 32 travels toward a transfer fixing region C while said paper is preheated when the paper passes between the roller 9 and a heating plate 10 for the copying paper. The copying paper transferred and fixed with a toner image in the region C contacts a guiding plate 33 and travels toward a guiding roller 34. The copying paper emerging from the roller 3 is eventually fed through a paper discharging port 35 provided on the bottom wall 37 of the copying machine near the roller 34 into a paper discharging tray 36. The formation of the latent image on a drum 1 is accomplished by using an optical system 2 consisting of a light source 14, a ''selfoc'' lens array 16 and a mirror 16.
