In order to be able after setting up or suspending at its final location a pendulum clock having a pendulum (8) suspended in a freely oscillating fashion to facilitate and carry out with high accuracy the readjustment of the regulator by means of a non-variable reference mark, the armature lever (5), which connects the pendulum (8) to the armature (2) by means of a fork-like connecting device, is provided at its free end with a pointer (23) or a pointer mark which is assigned a rest position reference mark (24) which is arranged fixed on a fixed part (12) of the clockwork or on a housing firmly connected to the clockwork. In this arrangement, it is advantageous if the armature lever (5) and the armature (2) are rigidly connected to one another and the fork-like connecting device (25) can be adjusted by means of an adjusting screw (33) at right angles to the armature lever (5), and if both the pointer (23) and the rest position reference mark (24) can be seen from the front. <IMAGE>
