PURPOSE:To prevent a finger and the like from being caught by an automotive roof slide panel, by driving the roof slide panel in an opening direction for a predetermined time when the panel reaches a position just prior to a full closed position during closing operation, and thereafter driving the panel in a closing direction again. CONSTITUTION:In a safety mechanism comprising limit switches 200a and 200b and recesses 20a and 20b of a cam 20 mounted to a rotary shaft of a drive mechanism for driving a drive cable for sliding a roof slide, both the limit switches 200a and 200b are not opposed to the recesses 20a and 20b in a slide full open position, and this condition of switch-off continues until a panel 23 reaches a position just prior to a full closed position (Mode I). At the position just prior to the slide full closed position, the switch 200a is opposed to the recess 20a to be opened. AT a full closed position, the switch 200b is opposed to the recess 20b to be closed. |
