A gassing apparatus for introducing a gas into a liquid, in particular into an effluent to be treated, is proposed, wherein the gas fed passes through the perforation of a rubber tubing membrane from the inside outwards and enters in the form of bubbles into the surrounding liquid. In this case, the perforation in the wall of the membrane is formed by transverse slots which are aligned obliquely or at right angles transversely to the longitudinal axis of the membrane.
