PURPOSE:To enable uniform, efficient thermal energy storage to be safely carried out by short heating, by covering a thermal energy storage material which easily generates heat by high-frequency application, with a heat insulator which does not generate heat by high-frequency application while leaving part of the thermal energy storage material uncovered. CONSTITUTION:A thermal energy storage material 1 which absorbs high-frequency waves and easily generates heat, alone or together with other filler 3, is covered with a heat insulator 2 having low thermal conductivity which transmits high-frequency waves and does not generate heat while leaving part of the material 1 or part of the material 1 and the filler 3 uncovered, e.g. in the form of hole. The thermal energy storage material 1, alone or together with the filler 3 of the resulting thermal energy storing heat insulator, stores up heat by heating and slowly dissipates heat through the heat insulator 2 around its circumference while keeping warm over a long period of time. Examples of the materials 1 are ferrite, tin oxide, silicon carbide, etc. Examples of the heat insulators 2 are ceramic, heat-resistant synthetic resins, heat-resistant rubbers, etc. |
