PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body which is stable to heat and light and has excellent carrier generating power by using a specific azo compd. as a photoconductive material constituting the photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body has a photosensitive layer contg. the azo compd. expressed by the formula I (A is a pyridine ring, quinoline ring, pyrimidine ring, B1, B2 are hydrogen, lower alkyl, and halogen and m, n are 0 or 1) on a conductive base. The electrophotographic sensitive body has the photosensitive layer contg. 1 or >=2 kinds of the azo compd. expressed by the formula I . the photosensitive layer of such photosensitive body may be any of the photosensitive layer consisting of the azo compd., the photosensitive layer decomposed with the azo compd. in a binder, the photosensitive layer dispersed with the azo compd. in a known electric charge transfer material, or the photosensitive layer formed by using such photosensitive layer as an electric charge generating layer and laminating an electric charge transfer layer contg. a known charge transfer material thereon. |
