In a bottle for baby food having a screw cap lid and a teat, as well as a cup-like protective cap which can be pushed onto the screw cap lid, the screw cap lid (4) is designed to be non-circular at least in the region of an attachment rim for the protective cap (13) and the protective cap is designed to be correspondingly non-circular at least at its opening. The screw cap lid (4) and the cup-like protective cap (13) can be made polygonal, at least one flattening being provided and having ends which are adjoined by a circumferential section of circular shape on the opposite side.
