Contact lens care agents which rapidly and reliably relase the disinfection chemicals of a stock solution to a leaching solution have an osmotic pressure difference between the contact lens solutions. In order to produce this pressure difference, the stock solution may have been rendered hypertonic or hypotonic or may be nontonic.
