PURPOSE:To provide the treatment with high dust collecting efficiency which is applicable to a large-scale, high-temp. gas contg. dust by introducing the gas contg. dust into a filter tube, which is vertically installed and consists of an air-permeable porous solid body, from the upper part while swirling in the circumferential direction of the filter tube, and passing the gas through the wall of the filter tube. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical filter tube 1 consisting of a porous body such as a ceramic sintered body is installed vertically, and a cylindrical body 31 of a revolving impeller 3 is mounted on the upper end surface of the tube 1. A gas contg. dust G is introduced into the revolving impeller 3 from an introducing pipe through a guide cylinder 81, swirling downward along the inner surface of the filter tube 1, and collected in a dust sink 6. The gas, flowing inside of the filter tube 1, passes gradually through the wall of the filter tube, and is discharged to the outside as a clean gas G'.
