PURPOSE:To remove effectively oxygen dissolved in supply water by providing a tower packed with activated carbon to a pipeline on the delivery side of a supply water pump to adsorb and remove the dissolved oxygen in the supply water. CONSTITUTION:A valve 16 is provided to the downstream side of a supply water valve 5 which is provided to a supply water pipe 6 on the delivery side of a supply water pump 4, and a tower 13 packed with activated carbon is arranged between the supply water pipe 6, between valves 5 and 16, and the inlet pipe of a supply water level control valve 7 through an inlet valve 14 and an outlet valve 15. The supply water 2 contg. dissolved oxygen stored in a supply water tank 1 is sent to the tower 13 packed with activated carbon with the supply water pump 4 through the supply water valve 5, the supply water pipe 6, and the valve 14. The supply water from which dissolved oxygen is removed is supplied to a steam condenser 8 through the valve 15.
