The plier has flat head surfaces (3, 4) connected to areas and located in an effect area and/or a muzzle area, where crimp-type, ladder-type and/or step-type depressions (1, 2) are located in a lateral connection to the head surfaces and extended transversely or diagonally to the effect area and/or muzzle area. The depressions run in arc-shape such that elbow sections of the depressions are transversely or diagonally aligned on the effect area and/or muzzle area. The depressions are manufactured by forging or cold embossment.
