PURPOSE:To permit the passage of men, animals, etc., as well as enclosing flame and smoke by a fluid curtain by forming the fluid curtain along the paths in a necessary range at the time of fire in the underground streets. CONSTITUTION:In case where fire occurs in a shop 9, an emergency button is pushed at the same time as the fire occurs, an emergency power source 7 is actuated, fluid sent into supply tubes 1A, 1B, and 1C from a fluid compressor 8 is sent into fluid jet tubes 4A, 4B, and 4C from check valves 3A, 3B, 3C, and 3D, and jetted a jet nozzle 13 in the fluid jet tube 4 to form a fluid curtain 14. The resident space groups 10 including the shop 9 on fire are surrounded by the fluid curtain 14 formed in the central part of the surrounding paths 2A, 2B, and 2C and the wall 11, and flame and smoke are enclosed by them. Men can easily escape through the fluid curtain 14 by utilizing the half space on the opposite side to the resident space groups 10 of the path 2.
