PURPOSE:To enable a leaning part of the back to be easily tilted by small electric power, by providing a driving gear, which tilts a curved bar of the back leaning part to be brought down by rotating a worm and a worm wheel, in the back leaning part for a chair and a bed equipped with a reclining mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A tilt driving gear 20, mounting a small pulley 24 to a driving shaft 23 of a driving motor 22 and providing an endless belt 25 to be interposed between the small pulley 24 and a large pulley 26, vertically provides a worm 27 coaxially on the large pulley 26. And said worm 27 supports a worm wheel 29 in the center of a supporting shaft 28. Further the gear 20 provides pinions 30, engaged with small holes 32 in a curved bar 31, to be each arranged in both ends of said supporting shaft 28. The gear 20, if it forwardly or reversely rotates the motor 22, rotates both the pulley 26 and the worm 27 in the same direction. And the driving gear 20, starting the pinion 30 to be rotated by turning the worm wheel 29 engaged with the worm 27 while engaging the pinion 30 by its rotation with the small hole 32 in the curved bar 31 and drawing it nearer, moves an upper located frame member 13a to be upward drawn and lifted. |
