PURPOSE:To prevent the combustion of a catalyst bed when a draft fan is stopped by introducing a waste gas or the air from the outside of the system through natural blowing or a weak blowing force into a denitration reactor on the side wherein the introduction of the waste gas is stopped by the stoppage of the fan in a denitration apparatus having >=2 series. CONSTITUTION:A gas inlet duct 4 is branched into two series, and each series is equipped with electrical dust collectors 5A and 5B, catalytic denitration reactors 7A and 7B, and induced draft fans 10A and 10B. When the induced draft fan 10A is stopped, a damper 13A is released. The gas in the reactor 7A is passed at a flow rate of 1-2m/sec by the draft of a stack 12. Consequently, the combustion of the catalyst due to the oxidation of oil mists stuck to the catalyst bed can be prevented. When the induced draft fan 10B is stopped, a damper 13B is released. |
