<p>The invention relates to a device for measuring the characteristics of a liquid, comprising a valve having a key which can move in rotation in a recess provided in a block forming a plug, into which recess the orifices of fluid-circulation lines open. According to the invention, the key has a base (61) which is provided at its periphery with orifices distributed at a specified angular module, some of which orifices are connected by ducts, the orifices of the recess (60) being distributed regularly at this angular module, and also has a body (62) provided with a chamber (63) in which a double piston (64) is mounted slideably, a duct (620) connecting one of the orifices of the base to the chamber so that a plurality of lines can be brought into communication with one another, and with the said chamber, and separated from one another, by rotation of the key.
