The sawing machine for sawing a workpiece (7) such as a plate or stack of plates, comprises a saw unit (6) guidable along a straight cutting lines (21) for cutting the workpiece overlying on a base (10), a first pressure beam (1) for pressing the workpiece on the base, and/or a suction unit (33) for sucking sawdust, and a second pressure beam (2) arranged laterally at a distance to the cutting line for the first pressure beam. The second pressure beam has a suction channel with a suction opening through which the sawdusts are sucked off by a suction unit. The sawing machine for sawing a workpiece (7) such as a plate or stack of plates, comprises a saw unit (6) guidable along a straight cutting lines (21) for cutting the workpiece overlying on a base (10), a first pressure beam (1) for pressing the workpiece on the base, and/or a suction unit (33) for sucking sawdust, and a second pressure beam (2) arranged laterally at a distance to the cutting line for the first pressure beam. The second pressure beam has a suction channel with a suction opening through which the sawdusts are sucked off by a suction unit. The second beam is attachable on the base and is formed as a low pressure beam with a base surface with which it is pressable on the workpiece. The second beam has two side walls. The suction channel is arranged between the side walls and above the base surface and the suction opening in the side wall and above the base surface. The second beam is lowered independent of the base or a workpiece lying on the base and is arranged on the base. The second beam is elongate and passes with its longitudinal extent in a position mounted on the base parallel to the cutting line. The sawing machine comprises a telescopic feeder device with which the workpiece to be sawed is transportable to cutting line and the second beam is arranged on the side of the cutting line opposite to the feed unit and/or a vertical cutting plain through the cutting line. The suction channel is longitudinally stretchable along the cutting line and has longitudinally stretchable suction opening along the longitudinal extend or a sequence of suction openings. The suction channel is subdivided into two suction channel segments separated from one another along its longitudinal extend. The suction channel segments are connected in pairs over a common control flap with a common suction support guidable to the suction unit producing a suction. The suction channel extends itself to 90% completely along the cutting line and has suction openings along its total longitudinal extend. The pressure beam comprises a pressure beam foot arranged regarding to the second beam on the opposite side of the cutting line for pressing the workpiece on the base. The first pressure beam comprises two pressure beam feet running parallel to each other for pressing the workpiece on the base. The cutting line or a vertical cutting plain passes through the cutting line between the pressure beam feet. The first pressure beam comprises a pressure beam suction settable by the suction of the second beam independently in operation for sucking off the sawdust. The pressure beam suction sucks an area between the pressure beam feet. The sawing unit has pressure beam suction and a saw unit suction for the suction of the sawdust. The second beam is spaced apart from the cutting line or a vertical cutting plain through the cutting line as the first beam. A sealing strip is arranged between the first and the second pressure beam.
