The invention concerns a process and an apparatus for the determination of the volumes and relative composition of the phases contained in a two phase system, where these phases mainly consist of a water phase and a steam phase, which arise in connection with energy transfer aided by water vapour in various forms. The two phase mixture arising from, for example, a conventional condenser discharge lead (8) connected to a steam unit (3), is hereby provided, during a measurement period, with a component corresponding to one phase, which has known enthalpy in a corresponding volume, so that a single phase mixture is formed. The added component preferably consists of water, whose volume is adjusted by the apparatus so that the single-phase mixture has a temperature suitable for the conduct of the measurement. Volume, pressure and temperature of the phases and mixtures thereof are determined with the help of the apparatus, which can be transportable or fixed.<IMAGE> |
