An automatic residual gas vent for pressure vessels as well as tubes (1) for welding gas preventing penetration to the interior (8) of the tube by contaminants when the tube is emptied and still contains an amount of residual gas pressure. The ordinary shut-off vent for the gas tube (4) can be utilised by mounting the residual gas vent (10) between the interior (8) of the pressure vessel (1) and the ordinary shut off valve (4) for the pressure vent. The residual gas vent can take up at least two positions, namely in part a working position, with a free connection between the interior of the pressure vessel (8) and the chamber (29), whereby the pressure in the gas tube acts on the upper surface of the vent body which is turned toward the chamber and partly a state of rest, where the named connection is broken, whereby the position of rest is assumed at a predetermined residual gas pressure.<IMAGE> |
