PURPOSE:To increase the capacity of carrying load, by providing the bottom of a sliding block with a trapezoidal recess divergent downward, and making the upper portion of an orbit base trapezoidal so that the portion can be engaged in the trapezoidal recess of the sliding block, and providing ball rolling grooves on the engaged oblique surfaces of the sliding block and the orbit base. CONSTITUTION:A bearing B comprises a sliding block 1 having such a trapezoidal recess 8 that both the side portions 6 of the block have oblique inside surfaces 7 along the horizontal portion 5 of the block, an orbit base 2 whose upper portion is trapezoidal and fitted with a prescribed clearance in the recess 8, a pair of lids 3 fitted on both the ends of the sliding block, and numerous balls 4 interposed between the sliding block and the orbit base to carry load. The oblique surfaces 7, 15 of the block 1 and the base 2 are provided with rolling grooves 9, 16 having a nearly semicircular cross section and extending in the longitudinal directions of the block and the base. The side portions 6 of the block 1 are provided with ball escape holes 10. This constitution enables an increase in the area of contact of the balls 4 in load-carrying zones and the rolling grooves 9, 16 of the block 1 and the base 2 to heighten the load carrying capacity of the bearing B. |
