PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal display device which has combined a transmission type and a reflection type by providing a polarizing plate, a transparent glass plate, a transparent conductive film, a liquid crystal and a polarizing plate, and combining them so as to execute a specified operation. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal indicator A formed by injecting a liquid crystal 2' into an enclosed space in a transparent cell 1 on which an electrode is formed is constituted so that the display can be executed by a light from any light source of the sun 3 and an illuminating light source 4 provided in the rear of the back face of the liquid crystal indicator A. Therefore, the liquid crystal indicator A is constituted of a polarizing plate 5, a transparent glass plate 6, a transparent conductive film 7, the liquid crystal 2' injected into a space formed by shielding materials 8, 8, a transparent conductive film 7', a transparent glass plate 6', a polarizing plate 5' for making a light pass through in the right angle direction against a light passing through the polarizing plate 5, and a reflecting film 9 whose light transmittance is >=20% (desirably, 25-45%) and whose light reflection factor is >=55% (desirably, 60-80%), seeing from the front. |
