PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of bite-in phenomena of tapered screws by placing a gauge in resilient contact with a pair of tapered screws in good fitting, and by sensing the position of screwing commencement from the relative angle at the time when a shock is applied owing to reverse rotation from the driving direction and consequent slip-down of one thread into another. CONSTITUTION:A receipt table 10 of an elevating table 7 is sunk, and the load on a gauge 8 is borne by the foremost part of an inner cylinder 30, and then a cylinder 32 is operated to cause light and resilient fitting of a round screw 14 in a tapered female screw of a tapered screw member 3. Then a rotary transmission cylinder 23 is rotated in a specified direction, to rotate said gauge 8 oppositely to the driving direction through electromagnetic discs 36, 38. At this time, the gauge 8 is pushed back in the axial direction according to the leads of the two screws, and the screw thread 14 and tapered screw member 3 make certainly one slip-down while the gauge 8 is making a turn, to provide a micro-reciprocation in the axial direction. The shock generated at this time is sensed by a shock sensor installed on the above-mentioned inner cylinder 30 to stop the motor 28 quickly and, at the same time, put an electro-magnetic brake into application. Now rotations of the electro-magnetic disc 36 and inner cylinder 30 are locked at the current position, and the position of screwing commencement is sensed accurately. |
