PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of a fixing roller, by curing addition-reaction type silicone rubber under heating from the inside thereof. CONSTITUTION:The outer peripheral surface of a core 1 is coated with a primer 2 and addition-reaction type silicone rubber 4 is injected in the gap between the core 1 and a case 3. This injected rubber 4 is heated and cured at least from the inside thereof among curing methods from the side of the core 1, that is, the inside thereof and from the side of the case 3, that is, the outside thereof to mold the layer of the rubber 4 on the coated primer 2 of the core 1. By this heating from the inside, the primer 2 slow in reaction as compared with the rubber 4 is heated earlier than the rubber 4 and, as a result, because the part of the rubber 4 contacted with the primer 2 brings about chemical reaction, the rubber 4 is adhered to the primer 2 not only mechanically and physically but also chemically and the bonding strength to the primer 2 is enhanced. |
